Dès la première cueillette de 2025, ce thé est délicat, aussi fragile que les feuilles des variétés chinoises qui le composent. Il est produit par un petit jardin familial soigneusement entretenu appelé Giddapahar, situé à 1500 m d'altitude.

Ouvrez le sachet et vous serez accueilli par un arôme puissant mais raffiné provenant de feuilles et de bourgeons finement roulés. La tasse est légère, brillante et vive, avec des notes fruitées vibrantes, des touches boisées et des couches florales douces, le tout arrondi par une astringence propre et rafraîchissante.

Giddapahar First Flush Tea

As a drinker of first flush Darjeeling teas from many tea gardens for more than thirty years I choose tea from Giddapahar as my favourite.

The leaf is mostly whole/unbroken in size and is all tip & bud which gives much credit to the care in handling and processing by the people in Giddapahar.

The flavour is floral, broad and complex which changes as the tea cools and there's a very slight astringent finish that stays on the palate for a few seconds. The colour of the liquor is pale yellow.

I would highly recommend this tea to anyone who appreciates the best of teas from Darjeeling, treat yourself before it's gone because it's not easily found.
