Spring Darjeeling
TASTING NOTES: Floral, ginger, lemon zest
From the very first picking of 2023, this is a delicate tea, as fragile as the leaves of the Chinese varietals used to make it. It's produced by a small, carefully tended family-owned garden called Giddapahar.
This tea is a beautiful expression of the high altitude conditions (1500m) that the garden enjoys, combined with the skill of the tea makers. It brews a golden colour, and combines mellow floral notes with a hint of ginger and lemon zest.
We are ardent supporters of small-scale tea growers in Darjeeling who are struggling with rising costs of production and lower yields. Growers in the region need our support more than ever.
