Silk Cloud is an early season black tea from Lakyrsiew Tea Garden, a boutique tea garden located in the lush hilly state of Meghalaya (meaning “home of the clouds” in Sanskrit). This is a light and delicate tea, with slight spring floral notes and a sugar cane sweetness. Best enjoyed without milk.

🌱 HOW IT'S MADE
To make Silk Cloud, only the smallest leaves (two leaf and a bud) are used. First the leaf is withered. It is then rolled in a brass-based rolling table twice; once without pressure, and then the second time slightly longer with some pressure to rupture the leaf and give it a twist. It is then laid out on a sheet and fermented for a little while before drying.
☕️ Brewing suggestions
Use 2.5g per 250ml water at 95°C for 3-4 minutes. This tea can be infused twice.
